Our family-owned company, Puupietari Oy, was founded in 1997. Since then we have steadily grown and become one of the largest wood processing companies in the window industry in Finland. We are driven by the desire and the ability to supply the highest quality wood billets in the world to the building and carpentry industries, both in Finland and across Europe.

We are based in the eastern Finnish village of Vaivio near Joensuu. Since being founded in 1997 our family business has grown to become one of the largest wood processing companies in the window industry in Finland.

Family Business
The business was founded by Martti Pietarinen. His sons Heikki and Matti have been involved with the daily operations of the company since they were young. They run the business today. We combine the culture and practices of a family business with state-of-the-art technology and efficient production
